Helping hands to those in need

Today members had the privilege of assisting Matt Trivett’s family. We took their sister in law to Johnstown Pa to help out and brought Matt’s wife home for a little rest and to do laundry, and sleep in her own bed. Such great people. I’d hoped the Retired Firefighters Association, Montgomery County Maryland would never be called on for something as devastating as this but that’s why the association was formed. We did a round trip in just over 1 hour. Giving the family break from a long slow 3 1/2 hour drive each way.

So what do you on beautiful day like today…. You help a brother out. We transported Matt Trivett’s daughter to Johnstown Pa to visit her brother. Matt is grateful for all the support his brothers and sisters have shown. Matt’s son is awake and talking, and in good spirits. 

These flights are made possible by the generosity of Keller Brothers Construction Co. They donated the use of their aircraft to help out the Retired Firefighters Association. Keller Brothers are the ones who have built many of the newer firehouses in the county.
